k.i.d.s.i wanted to post a few photos that was taken on the day which i went down to amoy quee as a volunteer for wan's sch.
they brought their kids there.
n each of us was 'given' a kid to take care of.
n i got erika.
when i first saw her...
intimidated was how i felt.
she's quite big sized for a 11 yr old.
almost as tall as i am.
n she's on the plump side.
as the day progressed, i could feel a bond forming between us.
when we were at the paint ball station, we were taught how to use the guns.
n u had to pull this trigger before u can shoot.
n i totally forgot abt.
n i just kept pressing the thing(i cant rem what is that part called)
n the pellets just didnt come out...
just as i was wondering what's wrong with the gun..
erika pulled the trigger.
amazing.
n wan made a joke.
"are u sure she' not a japanese spy?"
(erika's half japanese)
she has acrophobia.
n she didnt try quite a few elements.
so she'll just walk ard n look.
n she always finds a nice spot to sit on, like the kerb, or on other element
never the grass.
haha!
damn funny.
n i kept asking her to sit down... that she got irritated.
she just made this "aaahhhh" sound whenever i say sit down or the two words separately.
damn cute lah.
another kid which melt my heart was called jia rong...
he's damn cute lah.
he just completed an element.
n i was sitting at the end of the element with my bottle.
he was very thirsty....
n he just came n sat on my lap n helped himself to my water.
really cute.
the feeling... makes me wanna be a mother!
but it was only at that instant...
haha!
bao's kid is extremely cute too.
he's damn chubby....
n he's got a cap with his name, Zaidan, embroidered on it.
how cool.
i'll try to upload the photo here.
i wore his cap n took a picture with him.
rain came towards the end of the day...
so in to the threatrette the kids go
n they watched hi-5.
i'm totally amazed with their energy.
esp this boy called bathia.
he was damn high!
danced as though he was clubbing man!
haha!!
anotehr girl billy got high with hi-5 too.
haha!!
she's damn sweet.
a teacher told her to say thankyou n give us a us n she did just that.
how sweet.
did i mention the above were autistic kids?
i really love kids.
they the most unexpected things atthe most unexpected timing, giving u an unexpected pleasant surprise.
i really want my job to be involved with kids in the future.
but i cant seem to make my mind what i want.
this whole yr... have been working alot with kids....
kids of different age....
n i really enjoy myself.
n things that happen ard me makes me lose trust in grown ups.
was talking to my mum the other day.
her love for our family, esp the 3 kids...
made me respect her even more.
she's really a wonderwoman.
i wonder how many women out that can be so strong mentally.
i'm gonna be like her.
i will be.
