imagine urself in the situation below:
u stay in boon lay.
ur exam venue is in expo.
u met a friend in boon lay whose gg to expo to take the same paper as u.
she's meeting a friend whose coming to boon lay to meet her to go to expo as well.
so u waited with her since u know her friend as well.
time passed and she's still not here.
u're running out of time alr.
finally the friend is here.
time now is almost 845am.
u're still in boonlay.
it took u 1h15min for u to get to expo the day before.
ur paper is at 10am.
u're racing against time.
on ur way there, u're feeling all panicky.
trying to recall all those formula.
and a whole lot of definitions.
thankfully, the train was ,moving quite fast.
you reach tanah merah at 935am.
u'll have just enough time to walk to ur exam venue n settle down in ur seat, n wait for the chief examiner to announce the start of the paper.
finally, the paper started.
n as u work thru the first section, u come to see some totally alien model.
how great.
nvm, u just left it blank n move on to other question.
in section B, u chose a qn which u can (of course)manage.
plotting of the graph took u sooooooooooo much time.
n you finished the first long question just 5 minutes to the end of the paper.
u thought: ok, i still have 5 more minutes to go back to the questions in front n fill in whatever i think might be correct.
you did exactly that.

u listened, put down ur pen, flipped both ur answer booklet n question paper to the front.
while waiting for the invigilator to collect your scripts, u read the instructions which u think u alr know by now.
it says: answer 3 out of the 5 questions. question 1 of section A and TWO question in section B.
u thought nothing of it.
suddenly, you realise, u've only attempted ONE question in section B. and all questions in section B carries 25marks.
that means, u've alr lost 25 marks on top of the questions which u any-o-how attempted, and probably a few careless mistakes here and there cos u're so not used to the new calculator with only basic functions like +,-,x,/ n square root...
you can do nothing but wait n see ur script being collected.
how would u feel?
my heart sank.
so what if i know i have to do two long questions?
i only had another 5 more minutes for another 25mark question.
n it totally didnt help when we were only informed a few weeks just before our exams that we cant use a scientific calculator.
imagine a person whose been using a scientific calculator since sec 1.
many of my friends couldnt finish the paper cos of the calculator issue.
some of them didnt know sci calculators are banned. so they either attempted a statistics paper without a calculator or simply gave up n leave the exam hall without even trying the paper which they paid a few hundred dollars for.
i've emailed the sch to check if they alr know that sci calculators are not allowed when we started our course in july'06 or were they like us, informed only a few weeks beforehand by relc.
i'm kinda irritated.
this is like the most 'bumpy' exam ride i ever had in my life even though i have only sat for 2 papers so far.
even a levels werent as eventful.
all i can do is to look forward now.
i cant wait for exams to end.
nv felt so anxious because of exams before.
the stress is causing terrible moodswings in me.
u shd probably stay away from me, until my exams are over.
